The past haunts me and does its best to terrify
The present torments me, no matter what I try
The future scares me, but I don’t know why
My world is broken, it no longer satisfies.
The past should drive you and be influential
The present should be filled full of potential
The future should hold promises of the existential
My world is mired by the inconsequential
The past can shape my choices and my life as a whole
The present can give me a chance to work toward my goals
The future can prove my worth and bring peace to my soul
My world can get much better, it’s mine to control!
