There’s A Poem In That #014

[The following is part of my series of four line micro poems.  Today’s collection is themed around a personal love of mine. Hats!]

Hat Crimes

Once there was a stylish cat

Fond of a fedora hat

Who went to war with a fiendish rat

Fond of squashing his fedora flat

Stolen Love

To slow to move as you’re stolen away

Carried off by the wild winds that blew

It’s not your fault you can no longer stay

Though you’re gone I’ll never forget you

Jealous Youth

With a fashion sense, that’s not been seen for a while

Today’s youth think he’s quite the prat

But they’re all just jealous; they’ve not got the style

To pull off, a fine fedora hat
