There’s A Poem In That #013

[The following is part of my series of four line micro poems.  Today’s collection is themed around disappointment in relationships]

Soar to the Floor

She had high hopes her heart would soar

Til her date became a tragic bore

Internally she screamed “no more”

As her hopes came crashing to the floor

Mystery Box

A four foot high box, stood in the living room

A present for his love that had surely made her swoon

Yet it’s contents were a torment, a practical joke

A mischievous trick that left her heart slight broke

Cruel Secrets

Though she was unknowingly cruel, he would always defend

That unworthy girl, with whom life he wished to spend

Little did he know her affections were all pretend

Hiding from him the truth; she already had a boyfriend
