There’s a Poem In That #009

[The following is part of my series of four line micro poems.  Today’s collection is themed around The recent American Presidential Inauguration]

Mourning Change

We wish there was more time for ‘Change’

And we’ll miss your points of view

We wish you replacement wasn’t deranged

But mostly, we’ll just miss you

Lashing out with ignorant blame

Pompous posturing seems to be your game

Far more interested in furthering your fame

How can you make ANYTHING truly great again?

Presidential Limerick

A president was elected whom the country despised

His campaign was nought but a series of lies

With his dangerous ideas

That played on people’s fears

That may lead to a great countries demise

Yes I may be a few days late with this collection of micro poems but I’ve never claimed to be on the cutting edge.  The preceding poems don’t necessarily reflect my political opinions as I keep those opinions as private as possible.  Honestly, my opinions aren’t interesting enough to share.  The micro poems i’ve posted today are mirrors of some of the current media sentiment and public outcry on social media.  I really hope any lovely readers passing by enjoy them, even if you don’t agree with them.
